What Is The Problem With Route P Between Route A and Route 110?
There are many drainage pipes and box culverts along Route P between 50 and 60 years old that need to be replaced.
What Is The Proposed Solution for Improvements Along Route P?
MoDOT will replace approximately 25 aging drainage pipes and box culverts along Route P between Route A and Route 110. Construction is expected to begin April 7, 2010 and be complete by late September 2010.
How Will Traffic Be Impacted While Construction Is Under Way?
There will be various lane closures on Route P between Route A and Route 110 on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
These short-term road closures along Route P are necessary while crews replace multiple drainage pipes and box culverts in this section of highway.
Motorists can expect delays during these lane closures and detour to the following routes:
-Southbound on Route P – Detour to Route A, then Route 21, then Route
110 back to Route P
-Northbound on Route P – Detour to Route 110, then Route 21, then Route
A back to Route P
Estimated Project Cost:
The project was awarded to Gansner Excavating & Grading LLC, for approximately $662,000.
