The bridge over the Little North Fork of the White River on Route 95 in Thornfield is scheduled to be CLOSED for replacement on Sept. 12 for two months until November 13.

A public meeting with information about the project and how traffic will be detoured was held Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Thornfield Elementary School.

The bridge project in Ozark County is part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement program that will replace or repair 802 bridges across Missouri by the end of 2013.

During the bridge replacement project, Route 95 traffic will be detoured onto Routes 5 and Route 160.  However, drivers familiar with the area can take local roads around the closing.
