In Cass County, 19 bridges will be improved with Safe & Sound. MoDOT will repair or replace 10 in 2011. The last 5 bridges will be improved in 2012

Three bridges under construction on MO 58 will impact the largest number of drivers in 2011.

• In late April the bridge on MO 58 at Duncan Branch will close for 36 days while crews replace that bridge. More than 3,600 drivers use this portion of MO 58 each day.

• In late June, the contractor will close two bridges in the same time frame on MO 58 at Crawford Creek.  The bridges will be closed until mid-August More than 2,400 drivers use this route every day.
