Online Meeting: 2011 Jackson County Bridges
Jackson County
MoDOT has completed 3 of the 12 bridges being improved in Jackson County. Nine bridges will be replaced or improved this year, finishing Safe & Sound in Jackson County.
The biggest challenge for the work in Jackson County is that all the bridges have among the highest traffic volumes in the Safe & Sound program.
Three bridges on Route H north of Oak Grove crossing Sni-A-Bar Creek and Tucker's Branch will be under construction beginning in March. Staged in succession, portions of Route H will be closed through early summer. This impacts the more than 6,000 drivers who use this route each day.
Later in the year, Safe & Sound will address bridges on Blue Ridge Blvd and 67th Street that cross over Route 350. These bridge closures will result in detours to almost 10,000 drivers.
Go to MoDOT's Safe & Sound Website to see the details of each of the bridges closing or being restricted to head-to-head traffic this year.
