Talking with Communities

At MoDOT, we understand that closing the bridge has serious impacts on many communities. To help prepare individuals for the closures, MoDOT staff do a variety of outreach activities:

• Meet with schools, cities, counties, emergency responders and other officials to help them prepare for upcoming closures.

• Provide information on projects through signs, mailings, flyers, meetings and events in the community.

• Keeping the Safe & Sound website updated with the latest information on each bridge.
