Route 179 Interchange

Online Public Meeting, March 8-23, 2011

The Missouri Department of Transportation has partnered with the City of Jefferson and Cole County to construct a new interchange on Route 179 in Cole County. The interchange will be located between Route C and Edgewood Drive in Jefferson City, and will provide access to a new St. Mary's Health Center development at this location.

Since the new Mission Drive will be built under Route 179, excavation work must take place in the existing lanes of Route 179 so the new interchange bridge can be constructed. Therefore, traffic on Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive will be detoured for approximately 90 days during the early stages of the project.
