Missouri State Highway Patrol Lt. Larry Plunkett talked about his personal and professional experience dealing with impaired drivers.

Columbia Police Captain Zim Schwartze asked drivers that any time they plan to drink, they should plan safe transportation.

Reporters at the "You Drink and Drive. You Lose." news conference could experience the process an arrested driver would face if pulled over for impaired driving. This included a tour of the holding cells and booking room at the Columbia Police Department.

Officers from all over the mid-Missouri region attended the news conference to show their support for the "You Drink and Drive. You Lose" enforcement campaign.

Columbia Police Sergeant Tim Moriarity is interviewed in front of the Highway Patrol's mobile DWI unit. The van serves as a mobile booking room for DWI check points.
