JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the week of Feb. 13-17, 2012. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Boone County
Daylight Hours/Overnight Hours
Route 63 from just north of Route 163 to Route H – Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures.
*Route H is temporarily closed at U.S. 63. Traffic is being detoured to Hardwick Lane, located near the U.S. 63 roadside park. Route H will remain closed at U.S. 63 until the new interchange opens to traffic.
*The contractor continues with bridge construction at Turkey Creek and at Route H.
*Motorists should be prepared for periodic reductions in speed limits through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion late 2012.
Daylight Hours
Route E between I-70 and Route 124 – Roadway maintenance will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 14. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route F between Route 63 and Route 124 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route ZZ between Scott Boulevard and end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, Feb. 14 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 7 between Route 5 and Route E – Roadway maintenance and repair continues through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC – Improvements at 12 intersections along 8.5 miles of U.S. 54 to improve safety and traffic flow.
* Most work on the project is suspended for the winter, but crews will be working off the roadway at Buffalo Road and installing lighting in various locations. Work to install lighting will take place on the shoulder of the roadway.
The entire corridor is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive – Grading, drainage, and bridge paving for a new interchange. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.
Route 179 between Route N and Jefferson City limits – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, Feb. 14 through Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Overnight Hours
Route 50 at Missouri Boulevard – Roadway maintenance in eastbound and westbound lanes will take place Thursday, Feb. 16. One eastbound and one westbound lane will be open through the work area.

Interstate 70 over the Lamine River at Mile Marker 93 – Bridge maintenance and repair will take place in the westbound lanes Tuesday, Feb. 14 through Thursday, Feb. 23. One lane in each direction will be open to traffic in the work area.
Route 41 bridge over the Lamine River, approximately one mile north of Interstate 70 - Bridge maintenance and repair will take place on Friday, Feb. 17. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 87 between I-70 and Route J – Culvert pipe replacement will take place Tuesday, Feb. 14 through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 19 between Route 28 and the Crawford County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, Feb. 15 through Thursday, Feb. 16. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route ZZ at Granneman Road – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 14. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route P between Route 50 and Route 28 – Culvert pipe replacement will take place in various locations Friday, Feb. 17 through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 28 bridge over Dry Fork two miles south of Route Z – Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 20. The bridge will be closed to traffic through early April. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes around the work area. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route 52 bridge over Route 54 – Bridge deck repair will take place Monday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 24. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route 52 between St. Elizabeth and the Maries County line – Culvert pipe replacement will take place on Wednesday. Feb. 15. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
